Microchip food safety sensors for agri-food

Type:
Location:

Schedule: Wednesday, May 17, 2023  3:45 pm - 4:00 pm

The proposal focuses on an innovative technology called "chip bioimpedance food safety sensors" used in the agri-food sector. These sensors use bioimpedance technology to measure the electrical properties of food and determine its quality and safety. On-chip bioimpedance sensors are small electronic devices that can be integrated in the plant itself or throughout the feed production process to provide fast and accurate measurements.

These sensors could be used by farmers, food producers, and other professionals in the food industry to detect and prevent potential food safety issues, such as the presence of pathogens or contaminants.

This proposal will try to explain how chip bioimpedance technology works, how it can be integrated into food machinery and how the data provided by the sensors can be interpreted and used. The potential benefits of this technology, such as increased efficiency in food production, reduced waste and improved food safety, will also be discussed.

In summary, the talk will likely present an exciting new technology that has the potential to significantly improve the safety and quality of food in the agri-food sector through the use of bioimpedance sensors on chip.
